Hold your next event at Passionfruit!

Passionfruit has two event spaces available for workshops, panels, consultations and interactive/in person learning experiences.

Ticketing costs and attendance are not subject to change regardless of which space a facilitator prefers to use, but we strongly encourage our facilitators and hosts to keep in mind prioritising access needs for guests.

To ensure that all events are aligned with Passionfruit's values and safety expectations for both facilitators and guests, we require a meeting with our team before the event is confirmed.

Our aim is to present workshops and events that are inclusive and accessible to all community members. We are committed to finding ways to obtain and honour this expectation through the experiences that are conducted within our space at all times.

Downstairs/ Instore Workshop Space

The downstairs/instore space is held at the back end of our shop floor with our tables moved to create a customised workshop space. There is a privacy curtain installed to conceal the event from street view, but is optional to be open for a larger capacity event on request. Seating is provided and arrangement is optional for the style of the event. Downstairs is an access friendly environment and is more suitable for access prioritised events.

Capacity:  20 seated privacy curtain closed, more seating available with curtain open subjective to attendance expectations.

Entrance/exit access: access via front double doors, able to open both doors outwards with a 120cm width.

Upstairs workshop space

The Upstairs workshop space is on the 2nd floor accessed through the shop space or through an external door at the front of the shop, via a set of stairs. This space is an open plan room with large space available for physical movement focused workshop styles, or larger capacity events. The Upstairs space can be made available through shop hours for day time events or consultations. Seating is provided and arrangement is optional for the style of the event. Given the nature of the space being on the second floor it is unfortunately not access friendly.

Workshops and Events ticketing and financial overheads

Ticketing costs are determined between the facilitator and Passionfruit and are subject to change for each event. All ticket sales have a 30% deduction for Workshops, Panels, and in person/interactive style events.

All events are staffed with Passionfruit staff for the duration of the event to conduct all in house hosting from the arrival of guests, taking ticketing attendance, directing attendees through the space throughout the duration of the event, concluding the event and closing the store and being onsite for any other additional support that may be required.

The 30% deduction includes the administration of ticket sales as well as advertising of the event through our social media, website and data base, ensuring we can provide the most supported and positive outcome for both Passionfruit and our facilitators. Unfortunately due to the store remaining accessible throughout events we are not able to negotiate an unstaffed arrangement at this time.

All ticketing is conducted through the Passionfruit website unless alternative methods are established and discussed with the facilitator and Passionfruit.

Consultation booking costs and fees

Our upstairs space is available to use for consultations, gatherings, circles etc from the hours of 11am - 7.00pm 7 days a week. Prices are as follows:

1-2 hours - $50.00

3-4 hours - $120.00

5-8 hours - $160.00

Duration and access hours of Workshop and events

Duration of events are determined on the event style between the facilitator and Passionfruit, with most workshops at Passionfruit running between 1-2.5 hours. Events are commonly conducted after Passionfruit shop trading hours from 7pm-9pm, with the option within trading hours only available in the Upstairs workshop space.

Social media and event comms

Workshops and events will require an event description to be provided, with additional relevant details to be determined and subject to change for each event. At times this may require safety protocols and levels of experience that may be relevant to the content of the workshop. We like to provide a facilitator bio for attendees and may request a bio to be provided if not already available. Images and social media content is to be determined by the facilitator and Passionfruit, with no pre-existing images used without permission. This may be Passionfruit produced imagery and social media content depending on the workshop or event.
